Report of the Commission on Nominations for the Office of Lord Great Steward, 7550

WHEREAS the Most Noble the Duchess of Belfalas, Lady President of the King's Councils, Mistress of the Robes, and the Most Honourable the Marquess of Mirkwood, Lord High Chancellor and Keeper of the Great Seal and Lord Great Chamberlain of Gondor and Arnor, did, as Commissioners for the Execution of the Office of Lord Great Steward of the Kingdoms of Gondor and Arnor and Bearer of the White Rod of the King's Faith, appoint the undersigned a Commission to nominate one or more persons as candidates for the office of Lord Great Steward of Gondor and Arnor,

This Commission begs leave to recommend:

THAT the Commission for the Execution of the Office of Lord Great Steward be dissolved; and

THAT the aforesaid Marquess of Mirkwood be discharged, with thanks, from the duties and responsibilities of the offices of Lord High Chancellor and Keeper of the Great Seal and Lord Great Chamberlain of Gondor and Arnor; and

THAT the said Marquess of Mirkwood be raised to the rank, degree, and estate of a Duke of these realms, with the title of Duke of Minhiriath, and all the rights, privileges, prerogatives, and duties thereunto appertaining, if any, and have Palatine Authority in the Fourth Adminstrative Area, to be known henceforth as the Palatine Duchy of Minhiriath; and

THAT the Office of Lord Great Steward of the Kingdoms of Gondor and Arnor and Bearer of the White Rod of the King's Faith be vested in the person and family of the Most High Noble and Potent Prince Eugene, Duke of Minhiriath, Marquess of Mirkwood, Earl of Enedwaith, Viscount Calenhad, Baron Calenhad, Baronet, Knight of the Most Noble Order of the Flame of Anor, Knight Commander of the Most Excellent Order of Elbereth, Knight of the Most Illustrious Order of Beren and Luthien, Freeman and Shirrif of the Shire; and

THAT the Right Honourable the Lord High Treasurer be directed to disburse to the Lord Great Steward from His August Majestie's accounts in the Central Bank the sum of 3.6 grammes toward the defrayal of the expenses of the Stewardship, this being the amount paid to the sometime Duke of Ithilien under the provisions of the Omnibus Financial Act of 7530.
