The Oath of Recognition

Under the Oaths of Allegiance Act of 7538 (An Act of the Privy Council: Composite Code II:9), the Oath of Allegiance is most formally sworn before the Council-General or Privy Council; those who cannot attend upon such a meeting may take the Oath before "an officer of His August Majestie or any peer who has attended, or been excused from attending the Council-General." Those who do not have access to such an officer or peer may petition the Lord Chancellor for a form (given below for your convenience), which is to be signed in the presence of a witness (who need not be a subject of His August Majestie) and returned to the Lord Chancellor. All civil rights except the holding of office are extended to provisional citizens from the time of their original petition to the Lord Chancellor. The names of those who have sworn allegiance in writing are read into the minutes at the next session of the Council-General.

Note, that as signatures are required, this form must be completed and returned on paper.

I PROMISE that I will swear allegiance to His August Majestie, the King of Gondor and Arnor; and, Until the King Return, I recognize the Council-General of Gondor and Arnor, and its several agencies and commissions, to be the sole true and legitimate government of Gondor and Arnor, which I shall defend.
