Cadets enroll in the Department's courses either to satisfy part of the Academy's four-year Social Studies requirement or as electives to meet the overall graduation requirement. Courses are generally aimed at students in the II and I Classes, though III Class students regularly enroll in "Introduction to the Bible" and may enroll in other courses with the permission of the instructor. IV Class cadets whose schedule permits (typically because of advanced standing acquired as members of the V and VI Classes) may enroll in "Introduction to the Bible" with the permission of the instructor and of their advisors.
